I am a Dublin based Chartered Governance Professional (Chartered Secretary) with more than 20 years’ experience helping organisations strengthen governance, improve performance and build sustainable, people-centred cultures. My career spans senior executive, company secretarial and governance leadership roles across corporate, regulatory and sporting environments in Ireland and internationally.
As former Director of Governance and Company Secretary at Hockey Ireland, I worked closely with boards and executive teams to strengthen governance frameworks, support strategic decision-making, manage organisational risk and ensure compliance with national and international governance standards. I have also led significant projects in safeguarding, organisational development, policy implementation and strategic planning, bringing practical solutions to complex governance challenges.
Alongside my executive career, I have extensive experience serving on boards and governance committees, including my current roles as a Board Member of Leinster Hockey and Meath Local Sports Partnership. Having both advised boards and served as a director, I understand first-hand the realities of effective governance, leadership and decision-making in member-led organisations.
I am passionate about helping organisations build strong governance that is practical, proportionate and adds real value. Whether supporting governance reviews, board development, strategic planning or organisational change, my approach is collaborative, pragmatic and focused on delivering lasting improvements. I also mentor senior leaders through Sport Ireland’s MPower Programme, supporting the next generation of leaders across Irish sport.
